Udu drums are a west African percussion instrument played by hitting the drum in various places with the palm of the hand. Sealing the hole with your palm creates a deep resonating tone. Striking and releasing the hole makes a higher pitch tone.

All drums are hand thrown and the handles on the Udu drums are knotted hemp.
