Charlotte Joy Chase was born in Texas, raised in the Northwest, graduated from college in California...and has never missed an opportunity to travel and experience new places since then.
Her serene watercolors express the feeling and spirit of the many beautiful places she has called home, from the islands of Washington to the misty shores of Maine, and beyond. She uses archival materials to create original paintings of enduring quality and permanent beauty. She has had several solo exhibits in Maine at venues including Borders Books and the State Capitol. Her work is in the permanent collections of hospitals and professional offices, as well as in private collections in several countries.
