PORTLAND CHILDREN'S MUSEUM - PORTLAND, OREGON

Structural paths and coloration was done in Adobe Photoshop.

INSPIRATION SOFTWARE - PORTLAND, OREGON
TIMBERLINE SOFTWARE - BEAVERTON, OREGON
Summer of 1999, I was contracted by IS to illustrate over one hundred digital icons, both still and animated, to be used in children's educational software. Icon subject matter ranged from animals to robotics, and transportaion to science. In 2000, Timberline contracted me to illustrate several desktop-related icons for their contractor's software.

OREGON ZOO - PORTLAND, OREGON
From the fall of 1997 to spring of 1999, I worked with the Oregon Zoo (formally the Washington Park Zoo) both as a participant in an internship for the first season, and then as an independant contractor for the next. During this time I gained my first real taste of the graphic design world, taking on projects from thumbnails to prepress and everything in between. Most important for my personal growth was the intense interaction with a plethera of clientele, with equally varied subject matter to work on.

While I was there I designed interpretive signage, brochures, textbooks, banners, posters, package illustration, and exhibit art...just to name a few of the numerous projects. Some of the most memorable projects were the koala exhibit, pygmy goats and the naked mole rats. I was also involved in the marketing of the Zoo's annual summer concert schedule, working closely with other artists and members of the local entertainment industry to coordinate the summer programs.
NATIONAL MEETING COMPANY - PORTLAND, OREGON
NMC commissioned me in 1998 to design interpretive visuals for a trade show in Las Vegas, dealing with 'GatherRound.com", an online public domain to exhibit personal photos. This media production company produces visual dynamics for companies international. I even got to illustrate a ferret boxing a cat. Why? I have no idea.
HOWARD LONGBOARDS - PORTLAND, OREGON
In 2001 Howard Longboards contracted me to design graphics for their oversized skateboards, or longboards. Using Adobe Illustrator I drew various art to fit a vinyl cutout design to adhire to the boards. Mr. Howard actually gave away these designed boards to his groomsmen on his wedding day.
THE SPECULATIVE DINOSAUR PROJECT
From 2002 to the present I have been involved with a collosal undertaking known as SPEC , the Speculative Dinosaur Project, an online (and possibly a printed publication and CD-ROM in the future) hypothetical natural history of Planet Earth minus the dinosaurian extinction of long ago. Creators Daniel Bensen and Matti Aumala , along with dozens of other artists and paleontological authorities have unleashed an astounding vision into a world that might have been. The Polar Drak , Bowhorn , and the Rainforest Gihugrongo are among my many contributions.
GOODMAN GAMES
In the fall of 2002 I was approached by Joseph Goodman to design a book cover for the famed "Broncosaurus Rex" adventure game series. The title of the book was called "Dinosaurs That Never Were". Great fun fleshing out his creations for the cover.
BECKER & MAYER, LTD. - SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
In the fall of 2003 Becker & Mayer, Ltd., approached me about an illustration assignment concerning the depiction of robotic and true-life scorpions. The textbook targeted junior high to high school age kids, and required me to illustrate several robotic depictions of a mechanical arthropod. I finished the contract mid January 2004.
