The paintings are made with traditional media (oil on canvas). These paintings depict a "more than ordinary" moment revealing the deeply ordered chaos that lurks behind reality.

Art-making is the articulation of a set of intellectual beliefs and ideas into a visual reality that is expressive, aesthetically available, and aesthetically valuable. I explore and experiment, applying a set of rule-based restraints based on the qualities of the media. The success of the translation from idea to physical reality depends on a continuous evolution of concept and technique. My personal explorations of the inner landscape grows out of an imagination tempered by philosophical inquiries. Viewers are invited to bring their own interpretations and aesthetic judgments to the work.
