This image of "In Memory of The Burning Times" has caused some concern. It's her expression. Let me explain: Although being burned alive would be a terrifying experience ...those of us close to the Mother might have a somewhat different view. It's the symbology. The woman in this painting is not thinking of the pain. She is contemplating her return to the Goddess. Knowing that she will be in the Mothers arms when her body is destroyed has enabled her to set the pain and horror of being burned alive aside. She is being set free and her Goddess is waiting to embrace her.
