I work for the New York State Museum as a museum preparator. What I do is make all the things that go into life size dioramas. This means everything from life cast figures to fires to potatoes. This potato is made from a vinyl acetate co-polymer and hand painted with oils. If you try to bake it, it would melt. It's in a pushcart of vegetables on display at the New York State Museum. Presently I am working on a mastodont skeleton.
