Eric Leidecker is a resident of San Diego since 1978. As a self employed carpenter doing custom interior/exterior design, he has enjoyed incorporating his artistic perspective abilities into his trade.
Hot rods and motorcycles have always been a subject Eric has enjoyed putting on paper, but landscapes, still life and portraits are now also popular with him. Eric is skilled in a number of mediums including charcoal, colored pencil, ink, water colors and acrylics.
As a self-taught artist always anxious to try new ideas and applications, Eric feels that he will never stop learning and hopes one day to be a recognized name in the graphics Arts Trade.
Working on black surfaces has been a challenge that Eric has embraced. It began with a white colored Berol pencil and some scrap black paper. Cars were his first subject on black paper, "I've enjoyed learning how to make them "shine" in the moonlight I provided." Since then Eric has broadened his subject matter to nearly anything. He still enjoys showing "Shiny" objects on black because he is impressed with their ability to show dimension and contour well. |
